Dr. Chetan Solanki, the Solar Man of India and an IIT Bombay Professor, launched the Energy Swaraj Foundation’s National Campaign for climate correction from January 15th to 20th, 2024, coinciding with Makar Sankranti. The initiative introduced the Climate Clock, a digital display showcasing the global warming rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius, installed in metropolitans worldwide. CSIO Jigyasa Team members visited the school, sensitizing students to climate change and carbon footprint. Encouraging sustainable practices, they handed over the Climate Clock. This collaborative effort aims to raise awareness, inspire action, and foster a commitment to mitigating climate change at the grassroots level.
