Under the aegis of the Founders and Directors Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh has taken a significant step in environmental conservation by undertaking a pledge to save wetlands under the “Save Wetlands Campaign.” Under this pledge, the school commits to raise awareness about the importance of wetlands and actively participating in their preservation. The campaign aims to educate students and the community about the crucial role wetlands play in maintaining biodiversity, controlling floods, and providing a habitat for numerous species. The Principal, Dr. Parveena John Singh opined that Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh is dedicated to foster a sense of responsibility towards wetlands and encouraging sustainable practices to protect these vital ecosystems.
