The inaugural ceremony of a seven-day NSS camp at the school, marked the beginning of an enriching experience for the students, led by Principal Mrs. Charanpreet Kaur. S. Gurjot Singh Sawhney, Vice President of the School Management Committee, and S. Paramjit Singh inaugurated the event in the presence of esteemed resource persons and staff members. The camp, commenced with a soulful rendition of the School Shabad by the school choir. Dr. Paramjit Singh emphasized the significance of N.S.S. and urged students to embrace its true objectives. S. Gurjot Singh Sawhney inspired students to follow the teachings of gurus in addressing societal issues.
On the first day, an awareness program on ‘Cyber Safety and Security’ was conducted by Chandigarh police trainers. Tejas EduSkills enlightened students on career assessment. Principal Mrs. Charanpreet Kaur applauded the N.S.S. Wing’s initiative. During the camp, a Cleanliness Drive, a lecture on a balanced diet by school counselor Ms. Rimpa Mishra, and a career counseling session by Lamrin Tech Skills University spokespersons Dr. Navneet Chopra and Dr. H. P. S. Dhami.
The final day featured an awareness session by the Chandigarh Traffic Police Department, supported by ‘Onkar Charitable Foundation.’ Dr. Paramjit Singh, S. T.P. Singh, and Mr. Ravinder Singh graced the occasion. The Chandigarh Traffic Police team trained students on traffic rules through demonstrations. The students, filled with enthusiasm, showcased a spectacular ‘Giddha’ performance. Principal Mrs. Charanpreet Kaur commended the NSS wing’s efforts. In summary, the NSS camps provided a holistic experience encompassing cyber safety, career guidance, cleanliness, and traffic awareness, fostering a sense of responsibility and community engagement among the students.
